Figure studies
I like making changes in the scale at which I work to remain flexible and to think at different levels of the problem. I also have less time to work in front of people than “things” because they stay put longer.
Working small is more like creating a plan; freedom from details so I can work out the composition and spatial, depth & form relationships. If you’re working fast you tend to focus on these same things regardless of scale. So the bigger works here are done quickly and are pretty unfinished but energetic.
